Kyle Duni, LCSW

Kyle holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and two undergraduate degrees: Sociology and  Recreation Management with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State University. Her experience includes working with several wilderness therapy programs, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, community based programming, and on Appalachian State University’s campus in both the Counseling Center and teaching in the Recreation Management Department. Her clinical approach uses techniques from: DBT, CBT, Expressive Art, trauma focused treatment, and Motivational Interviewing. Kyle specializes in treating: PTSD, sexual trauma, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and oppositional defiant disorder.

Prudence the Therapy Dog

Prudence has been supporting children, adolescents and adults in their process of growth and healing for over four years. She is a six-year old Blue Heeler Mix.  When not in the office, Prudence enjoys hiking, playing with friends, cuddling, and riding in the car.
